The Pyjama House at Bramham International Horse Trials

Today was my first day at Bramham Park for the International Horse Trials which run from 9th to 12th June.  Bramham Park is a stunning 18th century country house, between Leeds and Wetherby, in West Yorkshire.  It is home to the Lane-Fox family and hosts several fabulous events.. the first being the ever expanding Horse Trials which The Pyjama House was at today, and the second being the well known “Leeds Fest”… twin to Reading Festival and both famous and infamous in equal quantity.  (No self-respecting youngester in this neck of the woods should miss it.. it is a rite of passage for all teenagers!)

But back to the Horsey bit.. I have to say today was lovely.  Bramham is less busy than Burghley and Badminton, but hosts many well known names nonetheless.  The backdrop of the house is much more prevelant too because the site is small and the shopping and trade stands feel more intimate.  It is helped this year by the gorgeous sunny dry spell that has preceded it making the grounds perfect for a high level of footfall.

I thoroughly recommend that if you live within striking distance of Leeds that you pop up the A1 and visit.  There is late night shopping tomorrow until 8pm and the event continues all weekend.  If you do make the trip, be sure to come and say Hello!  The Pyjama House has a stand in the Rural Crafts tent directly in front of the main house, on the way to the children’s play area.

I am also taking a stand at Burghley in September and at a whole host of other events besides.  To see whether we might be attending an event near you, click here
