Show time.. Fun at the Royal Highland Show

The Pyjama House has just returned from exhibiting at The Royal Highland Show.  It was great to be up in Edinburgh and the weather was kind.. cool but dry, with the exception of an amazing thunderstorm on the first evening.

Sales were great, particularly on the real “shopping” days, Thursday and Friday, and the atmosphere was properly agricultural.. many of my new customers coming from farms all over Scotland and Northumberland.  A lot more “cosy” brushed cotton PJs were sold than cotton ones reflecting the northern location of the sale, despite the recent (shortlived) heatwave.

A few highlights of the show were the pipers, who passed our tent several times during the show, the Highland cattle calves, and the discovery that baby saddleback pigs are born with blue stripes that turn pink as they get older.. who knew!

Sadly I am away for the Great Yorkshire Show this year so won’t be exhibiting, so our next show is Carfest North.. of which more later
