Girls Nightdress in Brushed Cotton Raspberry Stripe
£32.00 – £34.00
A re-run of our original, and totally adorable, vintage style raspberry-ripple stripe child’s nightdress in super soft double-brushed cotton. This nightdress is very traditional, featuring a piped Peter Pan collar, long softly gathered sleeves, and contrasting buttons on the yoke. As featured in the Weekend Telegraph Children’s Notebook by Daisy Bridgewater.
Pyjama House nighties make an adorable alternative to pyjamas for little girls and they have proved a huge a favourite with all our customers. We are, we understand, the only childrens’ clothing company that produce a flannel nightdress in 100% brushed cotton in such a traditional design.
You may have already had our flower designs in the past. The additional benefit of the original stripe that we produced in A/W 2010 and have re-introduced this year is that whilst the flowers were printed, the striped and checked Pyjama House designed fabrics are all woven, meaning that they are even softer than the printed ones.
This particular design of nightdress was the first one ever to be produced at The Pyjama House. The fabric is a gorgeous raspberry ripple pink stripe against an off-white ecru background, in super soft double brushed cotton that is cosy and warm to wear. The Peter Pan collar is piped in pink and the bottons on the bodice complement this. Our warm nighties are perfect for Autumn and Winter and a very popular choice at Christmas. They are extremely expensive to produce and so we have had to increase our prices this year, but be assured, this nightie is somthing that you pass on from child to child. Many of our customers put them away for future generations once they are outgrown.
When they first came out these nighties attracted the attention of Daisy Bridgewater who recommended our nighties for “keeping children warm” in her Children’s Notebook page of the Weekend Telegraph in January 2011. Loyal customers of many years may even still have the same design!
The nightdresses come in sizes aged 2-3 up to a very generous age 9-10 (a full metre down the back). Pyjama House nighties look great right down to your child’s toes but work equally well another year worn just below the knee.
Pyjama House nighties and fabrics are designed in Yorkshire, UK. This fabric is also available in PJ bottoms for older children, teens and ladies too, so Mum and Daughters can match.
Wash at 30 degrees.
A customer of years ago stopped me at a sale to tell me “I bought one of your first ever nighties, Lucy. It was passed down through all seven of my grandchildren and is still going strong.. your fabrics are really THE most lovely quality!”
